Solarization or the Sabattier process was really fun to try. From exposing the photo for the first time to watching it convert to silver, I loved every part of it. It was a fairly easy process to achieve and was down in a few very easy steps. I picked this photo because it had a lot of light areas therefore it achieved a very dramatic result. This photo was originally meant to be for my multiple exposure photo but it turned out better in the solarization process. For this assignment I spend a little bit of extra time in the darkroom experimenting with exposure times and different processes. I also photographed my print in front of the original background to compare the difference between the natural coloured background and the silver image to show a dramatic effect. Instead of just being a boring black and white print, I turned it into a dramatic work of art.
